How To Make A Design For Your Clothing Brand

Welcome back to another post. And today I wanted to talk about how you can make a simple design for your brand. I'm not going to make anything too complicated, but I'm going to make sure everything is free, and it's something you can do easily, and it's something everyone can kind of follow. Now, keep in mind, you do not want to copy exactly what I'm doing.

You want to have your own kind of thought process when you're making designs, because making designs is something that's part of your clothing brand, but it should be the part that should be most personal to you, because I think clothing brand is it just selling clothes.

It's also selling ideas and stuff like that. So I think clothing, like the design of it, should be very personal. But I'm going to be making one like just to show you the way I make mine, just so you can get an idea.

How to Make a Brand Bible Mockup

So first thing I wanted to do is: I'm going to move this. I'm going here and we're going to the brand Bible us, this thing, and we're going to resources, and we're just going to mockups. I'm going leave this in the description below so you can have this, so you guys can follow exactly what I'm doing.

This is completely free, so it's going open this. I'm justgonna justgonna make a quick hoodie. So let's take this. This brown I like. I honestly like this. So next we're going up my my picture editor, which I use Pixel.com. I'm going to Pixel Eat Advanced Photo Editor. I'm going to create new. I'm going to do that web medium doesn't really matter, to be honest, and I'm just going. I'm justgonna.

How to Make a Black Shirt

okay, does it? let me copy, all right, let me download this. let me download this and download this, okay? So now we're just going to open image and then we're going to open the brown. All right. So I'm justgonna show you guys how. First of all, this is something you guys want to know. If you want this brown image to kind of turn black, which I want, I want to, I want to make a black shirt.

So what I'mgonna do is you go to adjustment and you have a bunch of things and if you use auto &B&W, it's automatically going show black. But let's say I wanted to go from brown to like pink. Let's say I wanted to find pink. Now it's not going to be the easiest thing in the world, but you can definitely figure out how to do that.

So you can either go to monochrome and I don't know how to do that actually– so you can go to color balance here–and then you can kind of adjust how much red you want, how much green you want, how much blue you want. That's going to be fully red, and then if you add a little green, I mean I actually don't know how this works, to be honest. So, then I can make pink or whatever.

Okay, so that's basically how you do it. You just have to edit with the settings and then you also go to filter effect library and go to colors and then you can get all these colors. So yeah, that's just something you should know if you guys want to have the mockup and change the color of it.

So I'm justgonna do auto B&B&W. I want B&B&W. I want a black shirt, so let's also open the the brown the back one. So this is going open in a new tab, which is what we want, and we're just going do the same thing: Adjust auto &b&w; So it's going black, right. So now let's find a name for our brand. So I'm justgonna open up a notebook and honestly, you want it.

How to Start a Clothing Brand

depends, as I said in my past post. Watch that post. It's um, let me show you all. It's this post- how to start a clothing brand. No BS, you should watch that post. It'sgonna tell you everything you need to know, and one of those parts is how to like figure out a name. So for our name of this clothing man, we're literally justgonna name it octopus. It's a stupid ass name, but um, it's just like right now. I just thought of that. So octopus is our name.

Octopus Clip Art

So we're going to make a design off of an octopus. So this isgonna be very like, stupid and basic, and it'sgonna be very white 2k cyber white 2k tiktok style. But yeah, so we have this vector art now keep in mind when you're making a design, it's not always going to be right, so you're going to play around with it a lot. So I'm just going, for first do this way. I've to select okay, wait, okay, Octopus clip art now.

You usually want to get a PNG, but if you, if you can't find a PNG, then there's apps to delete background that I don't really want to get into today. So um yeah. So here we go. Wait, that's not a PNG.

I'm also not going to use that either. So okay, let's just look, for that's actually really cute, right. So here we go. We have a PNG, now I want to kind of, oh so if you also want like what they do with the black and white stuff, you can do threshold, which I kind of like, but for now we're justgonna keep it like that.

Just for now. Now I want it to be kind of like, um, not a really. I want it to be kind of like cartoonish. I don't know it looks good cartoon, or so we're going download this.

Star Born Font

This looks good, star born. So we're going to download that font and we're going double click on the zip file and then it's going open this. That's all you have to do, to be honest. And then you're going to text. We're going add a text layer, we're going here, and then we're just going add local font, and then this is how you're going do this.

How to Edit an Octopus Image

So you're going to click on stars born. That's notgonna work. So what you're going to do is you're going to right click and you're just going to go extract all extract, and then you're going to click on the open file and then click on the text file to type or open type.

I'd rather shoot type or is it really doesn't matter. So now we're going right octopus, and now we have our kind of straight up design. Okay, so I want to kind of edit this image a little bit.

I don't know what I want to do to it exactly, but yeah, let's not do that. okay, so if we go to effect library, we can go to the colors of it, which I don't really want to edit. I want to edit kind of like the texture of it like. I don't explain that. So let's just look through this. So um, let's see adjustment.

We Can Solarize It

We can solarize it. I kind of like that, to be honest. So a lot of the times when I'm making designs, I literally just play with a bunch of these settings, and it just works somehow. So yeah, so we are just going that there. We do have this in the middle, so I kind of wanted to see, yeah, okay. and then.

Adding a Style to the Text

So for the text, we can kind of add a style. We can add a little curve maybe? Yeah, I kind of like this curve, so we can do a half curve. Spread no, not spread, flip no, okay. So circle looks good. We're going do outline. We're going do an outline of this color. We're going do size. No, I actually don't like that. We're going to do an outline of kind of grayish like that and we are going to do a shadow of the same color. So we're going here.

And This Shows Our Recent Color

and this shows our recent color. So I'm justgonna click that. I'm going turn off the blur and the space up. So there we go. So we kind of made a very basic image here.

How to Make an Octopus Work

like this is extremely basic. I'm not even going to you all. Like honestly, if you sold this. I don't even know if this would sell, but I just wanted to kind of show you guys how I would put a text and an image together and kind of make it work. So if I like the place where the octopus is to stop this from happening, you're just going right, click here and lock it and then.

So now all we can move is this, you can't move this, so that helps a lot. Um, we can see something here so we can kind of do this and then so it'll kind of look like it's just going over it. And yeah, so if we want to put something on the back, let's say, so that'sgonna be the front and the back. The back usually is something that's not always needed, but it could add a lot to the to the thing. So I think for the back, we're just going do this. We're just going add this little octopus like this and then we can just go here and then copy this, go here, copy that.

Do We Not Paste That?

Oh, no, do we not paste that? That's weird. Where's the text? Alright, it was fun, we didn't, we didn't paste that. Alright, so no, let's. let's okay. So now we keep that. So if we do this, we can right click and then we can kind of blend this. Wait, that looks pretty cool, no wait or different.

You can also edit the blend modes here, saturation, and honestly that looks pretty cool, and then you can just go oh, and then you can make this, oh white, and then we're going, we can make this a lot bigger, and then we can kind of add that. I mean a lot of companies just have like that on the back, so we can just have that and then we can just make this a lot bigger.

Boom, so we just made a really honestly, I don't know. I don't know. y'all let me in the comments, how I did, but it's a very simple. Like a lot of time, I'll merge this down and then I'd connect these two, and then I kind of just edit it a little bit. So like that, and so, y'all, let me know how I did. This is what I made.

I Don't Want You To Sell This!

I'm not going to make this a file in the description because I don't. I don't want y'all to sell this at all. I don't want y'all to take my beautiful work here and sell it. I don't know, but this is a really stupid design, and I literally just completely showed you guys how to make it. 3D Spinning Logos – The Next post

It shows a bunch of fashion scans and blogs and fashion essays that I really like to look at, because it looks really cool. You can copy this and paste it in the back type stuff or fashion scans like chrome hearts. It's a bunch of fashion pictures of chrome hearts that you can probably like if you take this and then you just um look, wait, if you like, this right, and then you put it on here, you can threshold that and it will kind of look cool.
