Clothing Design Software – How To Design Clothing in 3D
Clothing design software – How to design clothing about 3D clothing design, and it's something if you're into fashion, or if you're into design or creativity or clothing like that.
What's up guys, it's here. I'm here to talk to you today about 3D clothing design, and it's something that I really think is something else. I mean, if you're into fashion, or if you're into design or creativity or anything like that, and you want to see your idea come to life without actually having to move from your chair. So yeah, 3D clothing design is something really, uh, it's something I came across when I was, you know, I was just surfing the net. You know, you just surf in the net and Ifigured it out. I saw some ad or whatever. I ended up on this website. It's Clothe 3d and Clothe 3d.
The link will be in the description and that's, you know, it's quite the program. So I got on that. I did the 30-day free trial and I recommend, if this is something you're interested in, you try it out and give yourself some time to do it. You know, don't just rush through it and think, oh, I can't figure this out. I mean it takes a bit of time. uh, there's tons of tutorials online, and you know, maybe I'll do a couple of tutorials there down the road, but right now, I just wanted to walk you through the process of how it works and I'll just give you a quick rundown on the benefits. I mean, you know, making a clothing sample, it's a lot of work.
Clothe3D Software
You got to find the fabric. You got to find the resources, the person that can make it. I mean, if you have someone, if you've been doing this bit, I mean, even then you got to coordinate it. You got to drive around. You got to do all sorts of things other than sit in your chair. But with 3D and this Clothe 3D software, you can just sit there and yeah, you may not be able to touch and feel it, but you can size your avatar so that you can size the fit.
You can get a pattern. You can manipulate the pattern. You can add graphics. You can add–you know, change the texture of the clothing.
The Next Big Thing, Who Knows?
There's a library of fabrics you can work with. There's libraries of patterns that you can work with. If you don't have any yourself or don't know as much about it, you know there's. There's all sorts of things you can do with this program. So I just felt like it was something I wanted to bring other people. You know, as far as the attention it gets, I don't see it out there that much whenever I bring it up in a conversation, if it ever comes up, or if I ever talk about it, and people don't really know what I'm talking about, and I just think it's something that if you know if you're interested, or if you came to this video and you thought, "Oh, I want to, I want to know about this, you know, I'm doing it, so you can have a look, and you never know what can come of it, and what designs you can come up with, or it could be the next big thing, who knows right?"
So that's why I'mbringing this video out, just to show some attention to this tool, this tool that I feel is really valuable and just really cool. I mean it's, you know, you can see something come to life without having to move. I mean you can change, you can do, you can sewing it together, you can, you know, make a shirt pants, you know all sorts of stuff.
You Can Change the Color Ways
You can change the color ways, and it's really cool. So I mean I'll stop going, Oh, it's so cool about it, and I'll just walk you through the process. But yeah, I just wanted to give you a quick, a quick, you know, overview of why I think it's valuable, why it's valuable to me. So that's really why I like. So it starts off.
You got your illustrator file. That's going to go in the program, and when it shows up in the program you're going to have a pattern–the one that you either bought or you know used from the 30 day trial or your own–and that's going to be sitting on the right side and then on the left side–is going to be your avatar and your pattern sitting in 3d space. There. From there you're going to start to sewing the lines on the edges, like sewing in this program is really just pulling a line from point to point on one seam or one edge and then going to the other edge you want it swn to.
These two pieces are now going to connect. When you simulate the 3d program, you can click and pull on it and drag it around and you can move the clothing and it will fall as if it would in real life. And if you want to change the fabric, say you want it. For instance, what I'm doing? mesh. So I went in, I took a photo of mesh and you drag it in just a little more advanced, but then you drag it into the program and once you drag it into the program, you can finish that and then move to like a tag or a graphic. Or maybe you know some writing anything you want now, making tags. You can put it on another small square piece or whatever and then sw it on. And now, if you're under the rendering process, where you're going to take that kind of really computery looking image and you're going to turn that into something that looks a lot more realistic, now you got your images, you got your side view.
You can pick your views, look at all these different views that I did here, and you're good. Let's cue it. Thanks for watching. guys. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and if you like it, feel free to hit the like and if you want to, you know, check it out, follow or subscribe there, and I'll be coming up with some more videos similar to this and all sorts of stuff.
So I really am doing this because I want to spread the word about this kind of stuff and really, and just brings a value to other people as far as it comes with clothing, design and stuff that I've learned because it's you know, it's taken a lot of energy and a lot of effort to learn things the hard way, and if I can help other people get to the next step a little quicker, or maybe inspire someone to start doing something that they maybe never thought they would, then that's a win. So that's it for today, and that's it for this video. And yeah, hope to see you again soon.
