How to Create AI T Shirt Designs with ChatGPT for FREE and Fast

Three Quick Steps on How to Design and Create Your Own Shirt

So I'll be sharing with you three quick steps on how you can design and create your own shirt, just like this, from start to finish, all the way to selling your shirt. So, for any shirt design, what I did was simply open this shirt over here so that we can have a better look. So, any shirt design, we pretty much need three main components: text, the graphics, and the overall design or layout. So let's say, for the text we have, "I've Got Friends in Low Places, And then for the graphics, we have the retro sunset over here with the beam on Spillowette, and then pretty much the overall design and layout on how we like mesh all of these elements together." So I'll share to you the technique right to start with ChatGPT so that we have our head start and then all the way to the finish with our finished product. So one of the important things here is–I also want to share a technique with you–with the use of templates so that we can quickly churn out multiple shirt designs in minutes, in just a few minutes, so that we can start creating our own shop. Just like this, let's say, in Etsy, with multiple shirt designs right away, because what we want to do is to have multiple shirt designs that we can create quickly, because the more designs that we have, then, the greater our chances of scoring a home run when it comes to our customers.

ChatGPT – How to Generate Like Text for Your Shirt

So the first thing that I want to tackle is generating like text or funny text over here so that we can use for our shirt. And this is where ChatGPT shines the most, because if we need ideas on what to write in our shirt right, then we can simply ask ChatGPT to generate this for us. So, for example, let's just jump over here to ChatGPT, and you can just sign up for free at the time of recording, and then I'll start typing my query. So, for example, write five funny shirt slogans for dogs. Let's say, we want it to be short and sweet. that are three words each. So let's see Wagner, Barclays, Possum, and Adorable. That's pretty cool, forever and always Wuggy Tail Club and Positively Loveable.

Okay, so it won't really be perfect because I asked three words. Some of them are four words, but it's still pretty short, and this is something we can put in our shirt and then use the text over here. Okay, so that's a really cool thing, because right now is, when it comes to shirt design, you can just have a general team. So, for example, you want it to be about cats, or maybe a different animal or different like. Just for people, right. You can just type in here and then ChatGPT will generate this for you, and then you can just like pick which ones resonate with you the most, or you can just test everything out in your online store. Okay, but the cool thing is. So, for example, we are wondering as well: Okay, this is Dashons, but let's say I want a different dog breed, but you don't know where to start.

You can also ask ChatGPT to like, generate the research for you. So, for example, let's say we want to target the highest dog ownership, like specific dog breeds, that has the highest ownership right so that we can target this market. So, for example, let's say, what are the top three dog breeds in terms of ownership? So let's say and check out what Chat> will give us. So, according to the American Kennel Club's 2021 rankings, okay, the top three Labrador? We have the German Shepherd and Golden Retriever. Okay, so now we even have research like done for us by ChatGPT, and this is that we can start with. It's up to you.

right. You want to use the results, that's fine. If you don't want to use it, that's perfectly fine, as well, but at least you have a starting point with ChatGPT. How to Design a Shirt

So the next part that we need to do is to start designing our shirt. So to be able to do this, I'll be using a website called Canva. This is one of my favorite websites, because it's so easy to be able to create designs right, and then you can just download them and then upload to another website. So what I will be using over here is a account. So you can simply sign up for a free account for 30 days and then you can just use the 30-day period to create all of the shirt designs as much as you can to maximize this. So, pretty much, I'll put the links in the description, and if you use my links, I'm going to receive a tiny commission at zero cost to you, and most of the time you will also receive an offer like this free 30-day period. and the sites that I recommend are the ones that I have personally used and believe in. So what we will do inside Canva is we'll start creating a design for our shirt and I'll show you on how we can do this from scratch and create something similar to this.

So what I'll do right now is: let's click on create a design over here, and we want it to be a custom size. So when it comes to designing shirt(s) we need to make sure that we will be following the dimensions that we need to output. So, when I talk about dimensions. Okay, let me just jump over here. Don't worry about this, I'll go over this detail later. But pretty much what we're after is this: dimensions that we need to use.

Canva Templates – Canva Templates

So that's 4200 by 4800. So let me just type that over here: 4200 by 4800 over here. This is pretty much the requirements that we need to do. It could differ later. Okay, I'll show you later. It could differ, but for our specific example, we're using this one right now. So let me just go back to Canva and I'll create a new design over here.

So the really cool thing with canva is there are a lot of templates that you can start with. This is a blank canvas that we have right now. So let's say, let's just type in retroshirts. Okay, so you can see over here right, there are a lot of designs that you can simply like, and use right away when it comes to designing, because it's going to give us a good start over here. So let's say, I like this one. Okay, it's fairly similar to what we have over here right, but pretty much.

ChatGPT – How to Change Text

I mean we're not like creating everything from scratch, but we want to change. We want this like to be about dogs. So what I'll do is we don't need this text. I'll select this and press delete over here. This is not the one that we need. So let me just remove this, as well. Let's change this to a different, let's say retro sunset. So let's look for that.

So we have elements over here and you can simply search from canvas graphics as well, and there are quite a lot. So let's go for see all, and there are a lot of graphics that we could use. So it really depends on what we want and what we don't want, and that's perfectly fine. So let's say, I want the. This one looks good, so let's try that out. Or maybe let's change this to this one. This one is really cool, as well. Gives off that retro vibes over here.

So let's make this bigger over here and then for our text. So for the text, let's go back here. So this is where ChatGPT comes in. Let's say: Which one do we want? Let's say this one looks good. Wagmore-Bargless. Okay, so let's type that in bargless. Now the text is pretty big over here.

Let's move that and expand this, and let's just select this and change the font size to something smaller. Let's try out 450. Right, you could just put in over here, or it can even make it smaller to make this to one line. So let me just change that. Okay, let's say 350. Okay, just a bit more. We're almost there. Okay, looks good.

Now we can also have a lot of effects over here. So let's select effects for our text. And let's say, we want to follow the curve over here of our retro sun. So you have this one. This is the curve over here, and you could also change on how the curve would look like. So let me change that. I'm justdragging over here. Let's move this a bit right.

To Just Follow The Circle

To just follow the circle. Okay, And it's taking shape right. So that's really cool. And let's just make this bigger. For example, okay, to just fit everything in. We just do this and we have our sunset over here right, and you can also make our text a bit bigger.

Okay, to follow our sunset over here. Okay, so it's taking shape right now. Just a couple of minutes. Actually, it's not even like a couple of minutes, it's just like seconds.

Templating Dog Breeds

Now, what we're doing right now is: let's just go back here. Let's say what are our dog breeds? Because we want a silhouette to be shown over here. Let's say, let's go for golden retriever. Okay, silhouette, let's see what we can get. Okay, so we have this one over here and wow, this one looks good.

Okay, let me just enlarge this bit over here, and we have our golden retriever. Okay, and the cool thing over here is we can start using the technique of templating. So when we say templating, okay, you just click on plus over here, add a new page right, and then, or even better, let me just delete that and let me just select duplicate over here right. We have our same like template over here or design. Now what you can do is remove this and let's say, I'm a corgi lover. So let me just change this to a different dog breed over here right.

Canva and ChatGPT – The Power of Canva and ChatGPT

I'll select this. And now we have a new shirt design. So just by changing the dog over here right, the dog breed from a golden retriever to a corgi, then this is our design number two. In just seconds you have a new design. Now, if you're getting like what we're doing right now, what we can do again over here is, so I just click duplicate over here right, duplicate to another page over here, we have our golden retriever. We can now change the text as well. So if we jump back here, okay, this one positively loving. let me just copy this and let's go back here.

I'll select the text right and then let me just go for pace, And we have another shirt design. positively, loving. Now we can now duplicate this again, delete this and change with the corgi design. And now, in just a few seconds, how many designs do we have? We have one, two, and three, and four, which means getting the outputs from ChatGPT. We have our combination of the dog breeds and the text, like the funny text slogans over here, right. You can just combine them. So, for example, we have five texts multiplied by three dog breeds.

Pretty much. We would have 15 shirt designs right away. Okay, that we can create in seconds. So that's the really nice thing. So if you have multiple more like designs, you can even add a couple of variations to the design and you have another shirt design. And that's just with the power of Canva, combined with ChatGPT. Okay, so I hope this gets the imagination going so that you can just start finding more images or elements or graphics inside canva and jump over to different templates. Then you could just keep on churning out different designs that you can start selling.

Printify – How to Create a Physical Product

So the last step right now is creating the physical product. So over here is a website called Printify which we will use, and the concept behind this is you create a design right over here. You can see the girl doing this right now, and then Printify will print this out or create the physical product for you once somebody places an order. And the cool thing over here is, there is no need for you to spend anything, because once somebody places an order, Printify creates this and then takes a cut of the sales that you make right for the cost of goods. When it comes to producing your goods, Okay, so, that means there's no money out. You only print on demand or create on demand. If there's somebody who will be ordering your shirt, Okay, so that's the really cool thing about this one.

And for this tutorial right, we won't cover on how you can create Printify and then link us to your, let's say, Etsy website. You can just search for a different tutorial. But what I will cover is placing our design right now into a shirt in Printify so that you can have an idea on how this will look like. and how close are we when it comes to matching something like this? Are we able to create a product similar to this that we can call our own? Now, inside Printify, what we will do is let's search for our catalog over here right, and there are a lot of products that you can use.

How to Create a Shirt in Panva

But for this tutorial, what we will focus is about shirt(s). Okay, so what I'll do is let's just search for a shirt right, and then you have a lot of options when it comes to using shirt(s). So you can see over here right, and you can just select what type of shirt that you want to place our like golden retriever design over here, our retroshirts. Okay, so there are a lot of choices, but I selected one already. Once you click on it right, it will go straight here to our design editor. So what I did was I simply downloaded this from Panva. Okay, so to be able to download this, just go for share and over here, click on download and just make sure to select transparent background.

This is a feature for Pro accounts and we want to make this transparent. The background over here right. So once you upload this to your shirt design, it will simply follow the color of the shirt. Okay, so just make sure this tick and then, once you download this, we can simply go to Printify. Okay, I'll also put a link to Printify so that you can join to Printify for free in the description, as well. So now we have uploaded the design that we have created in Panva. Okay, and this is where the dimensions are pretty important.

So this is what I showed you a while ago. You could see right once we selected the shirt. Okay, and it has this note over here. For the shirt design, you need to make sure that it's 4200 by 4800 pixels, and this is the dimensions that we have used when it comes to creating right this design over here in Panva. So you need to make sure that both of them are synced so that you won't have any issues when it comes to creating your shirt over here. Now what we have is our shirt design.

ChatGPT Tutorial – How to Create a YouTube Video With ChatGPT

It looks pretty cool, okay, and over here is, you can change and add more color variations that you think would be a good fit. So, for example, let's say this one looks good. We can have the color black as well over here. Black is really nice. You can even have light navy or change to other dark colors over here, even purple, right orange over here, not so good. So let me just tick that. So let's say we're happy with the black color over here and the different colors. Okay, and this is our first product, and as you have seen a while ago pretty much, you can just continue uploading your other designs as well, so that you have more shirt products that you can sell via pre-Defy over here. Okay, Now let's go for preview, and you could just have a good idea on how your shirt would look like. So over here, you can just select the color-black as well over here right, and this is our design.

There's even back as well, so you can just add more designs as well for the back of the shirt. You can simply create another one in Canva if you wish. But right now let's stick with the front design. The cool thing is, you can even have mockups so that you can see a real person right wearing your shirt, and it looks pretty good. Let's go for a woman version, as well, so that you can see on how this looks like in action. So that's the really nice thing, and you can start using these images as well when it comes to selling your shirt inside Etsy. And if we were to compare it right now, it looks pretty good, right. If you compare this one as compared to what we have over here in Etsy, you're going to be confident when it comes to using ChatGPT and Canva and then over to preDefy to create your own shirt design and start selling and making money.
